ABOUT THE PROJECT
Vibrant and bold website redesign for social advocacy entrepreneur Elizabeth Dawes Gay. Based in Washington DC, Sisu Social Justice sparks change in the lives of women of color and marginalized communities around the world. Through her work with Sisu, Elizabeth is devoted to creating a world where women of color are empowered to live healthy and happy lives.
I used Sisu’s existing bold brand identity, created by Maura Chanz, as the foundation for the remainder of the design aesthetic. The bold color palette and abstract logo set the stage for graphic language scattered throughout the website, including the custom background.

Before working with Skye Media Group, I felt like my website didn’t accurately convey my brand and its possibilities. I really wanted a website I could be proud of, and it was important to me to work with a Black woman web developer. I admired other sites Toni had done, and knew after our first phone call, I knew it would be a good fit.
The best thing I liked about working with Toni her professionalism and expertise in combining your design and branding skills. She got me to open up a bit more on the website so people get a sense of who I really am and what I’m seeking to do. I love my new website!
